Llewellyn Kruger International Art Brokers was established in 1961 by Pastor Charles Kruger, who began selling paintings to finance his theological studies. In 1982, Llewellyn joined the business, which at that time operated under the name De Oude Meesters Art Gallery. Following the untimely passing of his father at the age of 49, Llewellyn, together with Jenny Kruger, continued their work under artsySA.co.za, while Llewellyn also operated independently under Llewellyn Kruger International Art Brokers.

We are the only gallery to issue valuation and authenticity certificates supported by X-ray analysis. Since 2007, Llewellyn has also been affiliated with a gallery located at 56 Broadway, New York. He possesses extensive expertise in fine art and serves as the official authenticator for the Facebook Claerhout page and southafricanartists.com, a platform representing 4,125 artists, as well as for approximately 2,500 international art galleries and collectors.
